The fall of 1990 was a time of great change for me. I was on a serious spiritual quest. I quit smoking and began exercising and eating better. I daily practiced Zazen meditation to quiet my mind and expand my consciousness. I also began recording and analyzing my dreams and was intensely interested in synchronicity. I was reading many books about the Kabbalah, Gematria (Hebrew Numerology), Tree of Life, Tarot, and similar esoteric topics. I did not, at that time, consider myself a Christian in any way at all.
Then on the morning of November 24, 1990 I had a dream that changed my life. I found myself floating in a blank space half aware that I was dreaming when a woman with black hair in a red sweater suddenly appeared and said:
That was the entire dream. I awoke, wrote it down, and went back to sleep. I still have the journal in which I recorded and analyzed it. The first thing I did was to look up the symbolic meaning of the numbers 12 and 44 in Aleister Crowley’s Gematria book called 777 where I found that 44 was the value of the Hebrew word דם (DM, dawm) meaning blood. I immediately noticed that this correlated with the first two the consonants in DuMbo. This gave me the feeling that I had “received information” in the dream, since I had only begun to study Hebrew gematria a few weeks earlier and did not know that word or it’s numerical value.
I then looked up the product 528 = 12 x 44 and found that it was the sum of all the natural numbers from 1 to 32. Mathematicians call such numbers “triangular” because they count the number of dots in a triangular array. Kabbalists call them “Mystic Numbers” because the are supposed to “sum up” the mystical meaning of that number. Having this knowledge, I was astounded to find that the number given in my dream was the Mystic Number of the 32nd Path on the Tree of Life that leads from Malkuth to Yesod, the foundation of spiritual consciousness. Furthermore, the 32nd Path corresponds to the Universe Card of the Major Arcana in the Tarot and the final letter of the Hebrew alphabet Tav. Thus, I interpreted this information given in my dream to be something like the “Mystic Number of the Universe” or more simply, the “Key to the Universe” which is what I wrote in my journal though I had no understanding of what that really meant as yet.
As I continued my analysis, I began to notice subtle associations with other dreams I had recorded. The first big night of dreams happened on November 4thwhen I dreamed that my boss, Sheri, “had a keyboard with over 400 sounds sampled.” This naturally linked to the numerical value of Tav (400) and the idea of a “key” board gave me a sense of a the 22 letters as “keys” to this spiritual reality I was discovering. I also felt there was a connection with a dream that I had on November 16:
I noted that one mile equals 5,280 feet, or ten times my dream number. I had a very strong intuition that these dreams were connected, so I began to pay even closer attention each night. And then on December 1 I had this very lucid dream (verbatim from my dream journal):
I spent a lot of time analyzing the elements of these dreams. I would look for puns, homophones, numerical values of the Hebrew words corresponding to the dream elements – anything and everything I could think of to try to make sense of it all. On December 4thI wrote “In a Kabbalistic universe there is no throw-away information. Nothing is meaningless in a universe which manifests the mind of God.” So I analyzed everything and everything was numinous and the world felt like a vibrantly living semantic cosmos. Everything I encountered was glowing – like a living symbol that would release its secret if I meditated intently upon it. For example, on the morning of the dream, I noticed that it happened on 11/16 and 11 x 16 was half of 528. I was thinking about this the next evening when I went out to dinner at Ezell’s and found an entry form for a chance to win an Isuzu truck inside a flyer with the number 22 in a circle with wings atop a caduceus that seemed very significant. The drawing was on December 22. Here is what I wrote in my journal:
I share this to show that I was taking note of every detail. Everything was now in place for the “Big Event.” On December 22 I went to work as usual at the Gob Shoppe. Here is what I wrote in my journal:
I felt this was an extremely profound synchronicity because it involved a question of two or three dollars over a pill (pool?) box. I was thinking about this later at home and began to wonder what time the transaction happened. Here is what I wrote in my journal the next day:
The transaction happened at 5:28 PM on 12/22 and came to a total of $12.44 and it naturally connected with the dream about a master who wanted to play a game of pool (pill) for $2.00 or $3.00 dollars. And the sum of the multiplied dates for the Dumbo dream and this transaction was, of course, 11 x 24 + 12 x 22 = 528. Here is a picture of the actual receipt from my journal:
I was absolutely flabbergasted that all these elements from my dreams could come together like this. It left an indelible impression on my mind. But one thing was lacking. What does it all mean? It took me about a year to come to my first solid answer to that question.
Armed now with a solid conviction that I could find an answer I spent all my waking hours learning everything I could that might relate. I spent many hours in the bar with a beer, a Bible, and a calculator looking for patterns that might bring the answer to light. It was during this time that I discovered my first Biblical holographs and began to fall in love with the Old Testament. I even wondered if I were being led to convert to be a Jew. I had no real interest in the New Testament at that time. Finally, in July of 1991 I found the first puzzle piece that would give me the answer I was looking for. The Number 528 as the value of the word מפתח (maphte’ach, key) found in the book of the prophet Isaiah:
I was floored. Absolutely floored. Here I was, after seven months of study, looking at the literal confirmation of my intuition that the number 528 was some sort of “key” to the universe! But still, I didn’t understand how it functioned as a “key.” And I still did not understand the connection with the numbers 12 and 44. So I continued my search, and found this:
The actual Hebrew translated as “in the blood” is בדם הוא (b’dawm hu). It literally means “in his blood.” The Bet prefix means “in” and dawm means blood, and hu means “he” or “of him” depending on context. And the numerical values? They are hu = 12 and dm = 44. I had found the meaning of the key! It was “His Blood.” And look at the Hebrew: b’dawm hu is a simple metathesis of Dumbo! I knew I had found what I was looking for. But there was one more question. Whose blood are we talking about? I don’t have time now to detail the process of discovery, so I’ll just give you the result. The Number 6 is the Number of the Cosmos (Universe). Here is the name of he who holds its key:
Kυριος Iησους Xριστος (LORD JESUS CHRIST) = 3168 = 6 (Cosmos) x 528 (Key)
Man, this stuff still gives me the goose-bumps!
Now you can see why I became a fundamentalist. I had this knowledge before I discovered the Bible Wheel.
I enjoyed your Dumbo 12 x 44 post. Dumbo also refers to Dumuzid. And as you rightly ascertained 12 x 44 = 5280 is the key.
I am glad to see that I am not the only one troubled by dreams with regards to this number and the Dumuzid. The ‘higher powers’ are quite desperate to get their message out and I have wondered and hoped it was not resting solely on my shoulders to do so because I don’t want the sole responsibility and have faced the big C very recently.
If they have sent you the dream then I can be assured they have sent it to many.
Your site is infinitely important to those of us who have gotten the same sort of dream.
Thank you. Infinitely thank you.
Hi Ben,
Thanks for the info. I had never heard of Dumizid before. From what little I read on the wiki, I couldn’t see any obvious connections with the Dumbo Dream. Perhaps you could post a few more details about why you think it is connected?
Thanks!
Richard
Thanks you for writing this. When I saw 12 x 44, I gave a giggle. 528 is the hz to the Levite Musical Scale of healing founded in Numbers 7. It is the same frequency that performs miracles, restrores and regenerates with our DNA. Also the best part that I found is that when you hum 528 hz, it resonates with your heart. My Father is showing me so much with these musical scale. I have the musical chords on my blog, there are 5 signature keys and all respond with our 7 days to the week. Thanks you for sharing. The Father sure did give you the write “key”. It is all for our HEARTS.
Blessings to you!

PS: Don’t you love how HE shows us the way through His signs. He shares with me by using Liscence plates on cars and in the clouds during sunsets. 🙂
It has been nearly two years since I commented on your post about 528 and I still want to express my thanks for your data base. I have continued my study and have to say that after three years of studying these numbers, I feel the Torah had very little to do with religion the way we think of it. It does have everything to do with science. I sense that they believed so strongly in science that god to them was revealed through science and measurement of the world. Hence, the key, 528, is 1/10th of a mile.
This would explain all the numbers you were finding in your long ago dreams. This is in fact how they thought… in numbers.
Generally, people today cannot understand math so hiding a great message written in mathematical terms is not difficult. Duping them into thinking they are going to burn in hell if they do not preserve and carry it forward is even easier. These two dominant qualities in humans have served the (very human) writers of the Torah well. It has passed unchanged through generations with the message remaining intact.
You state that the sum of 1 to 32 is 528 which it is. This 32 is 5.656 squared. I believe you know the spelling and gematria of Yahweh. If one does this sort of number play long enough, one realizes Yahweh, Elohim, and all the other words have whole other meanings. It is all rather clever.
So I write on this number subject. It is not of interest to many since it has sooo much math! as my critics complain loudly! If you are interested in seeing some of what I have found, check at noahsage.com. The majority of people will be confused by the numbers and stick to the big god in the sky myths. That is as it should be. After all, they conclude their prayers with amen which literally means forever-men.
However belated my response, you asked why Dumbo in a dream can be related to the group of people called Dumazid.. From the cuneiform records we know they were evidently a group “who set themselves apart” to do some great deed. Dumbo…dummy…Dumazid the words sound very related and in dream states we grab what is closest. I suspect dummy in English is derived from this word Dumazid although the dictionary says it is from the Old English word dumb. I suspect those directing the movements of the Dumazid, who were evidently volunteers, considered them “dumb bastards” as we would say today. I can picture those in power calling the workers who built the Great Pyramids just that. But what a tremendous legacy these people left us. Thousands of years later we still marvel at their work! We look for Dumbo.
Once again -thank you.
Hey there B. L. Freeborn,
Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad you have found the database helpful. But I wonder if maybe it has misled you a little. How could you think that the authors of the Torah could have been into science? I mean, the Torah is not scientific at all. The first verse is false from a scientific point of view. The universe did not begin with the creation of “heaven” and the little planet earth! On the contrary, the earth was not formed until a bout 4.5 billion years ago, which was about 9.2 billions years after the Big Bang. And the Torah speaks of the first couple being created a mere 6,000 years ago, and we know that’s not true. And we know there there was no global flood since we have continuous ice cores going back 175,000 years ago, and we know there has been no mass extinction of land animals in recent history since there was no genetic bottle neck. And this is just the beginning of problems we would have if we tried to interpret the Torah as a science book. So I don’t see how you could think that the Torah had anything to do with real science.
Now I agree that it is a little odd that a mile comes to exactly 5280 feet, given the significance that number plays in Kabbalah. But there are lots of coincidences like that, so I find it impossible to think that they were deliberately designed by any humans. There may be a mystery … the mystery of the Bible Wheel remains, especially since I have concluded that Yahweh is not real and so could not be the explanation.
Now you say that the Torah has “passed unchanged through generations with the message remaining intact.” What message is that? Everyone who reads it comes up with their own interpretations, and often the most fervent believers come to diametrically opposed conclusions. So what is the message that you think you see in it?
Actually, it is not accurate to say that 5.656 is the square root of 32. The closer value is 5.656854… and so 5.657 would be more accurate. But after glancing at your blog – noahsage.com – I can see why the number 56 jumps out at you. But Name YHWH is actually 10 – 5 – 6 – 5 so I don’t really see the connection. Also, I’ve never felt that there was much meaning in making approximations like that anyway, especially since folks are prone to making up crap and deceiving themselves, so back in the day when I was studying gematria I held myself to the highest standard of absolute exactitude. Very few people do that, which is why the vast majority of people who play with gematria are like kids finger painting.
I glanced at your explanation about Noah’s age but didn’t really get the point. Is there are article where you briefly explain you main thesis?
Yes, Dumbo and Dumazid share two consonants, but that’s about it. Who were the Dumazid what what do they have to do with anything? I looked it up on Google and didn’t find anything that seemed significant. Why do they hold your attention?
All the best,
Richard
You make many valid points, too many for one reply on my part. Your first paragraph points out that people actually believe the story as told in the Torah is valid science. I do not. It is a good metaphor though, sort of like using Santa Claus to explain gifts on Dec. 25. At some point we are supposed to realize Santa is not real. At some point we are supposed to realize the story in the Torah is a story.
If there is science here, it lies in the numbers. We must look at the numbers behind the words, that the average person was never supposed to see or understand. In other words, you really do have to toss out the words, which no true believer can do. The science is hidden and not what we are expecting. I will give you this example. How important is it that the first seven words creates this string of numbers in this order: 913 203 86 401 395 407 296 ? We cannot judge the importance until we know what the original authors were describing. It is monumental that many persons over time have attempted to attach meaning to the words via gematria. Eventually, someone has to break the original code (if there ever was one) which is what I believe you have attempted to do.
It is also a fact that if this string of numbers is important that another sentence can be created using entirely different words which via gematria gives the same number sequence. But if my new sentence only talks about say: Sparky the dog who lives next door; who is going to care about this sentence 1000 years from now let alone tomorrow? No one. But a sentence created to give these numbers via gematria which sounds grand, eloquent and important such as: In the beginning God created the heaven and the Earth, blah, blah, blah might have a chance of surviving a few years and through a few governments especially if someone in the government is highly motivated to see the sentence survive. Priests wrote the sentences and they had the governor’s ear. If they were just trying to discuss what the current betting stakes were on the horses or dogs, then we have all been duped by the “big” mystery. My guess is they knew the topic was important and not for the commoner. It would also seem with enough brilliant (and/or crazy) minds at work around the world on this topic someone will stumble upon a plausible answer to what this string of numbers might mean. I make my proposal in “The Deep Mystery.” Others have made theirs. You have made yours. It is highly likely that it is a multi-layered code. Hence, there is probably more than one answer. A good code should also lead us astray at times. After all they did not code it so everyone could chat about it including their enemies.
Moving on…
Some of your quoted science is somewhat incorrect. There are ice cores going back 400,000 years which are used to prove the polar ice sheets have remained within the polar circles. This data does not invalidate the idea of a flood. Typically there are two types of floods. The one that stays forever as is occurring in certain regions of the world today where the incremental rise of the oceans is overcoming land, and the other kind that follows a hard rain or an earthquake where water passes over and through a region and causes devastation. The existence of continuous ice cores does not preclude the latter. The full melting of the ice sheets, this months topic in National Geographic, will not accomplish a total global inundation. So a simultaneous worldwide flood – with polar ice caps intact- is virtually but not totally impossible. The only possible scenario requires the waters of the Earth to be on the move in large quantities. They must be so disturbed that no ocean basin anywhere on the planet can contain them. Hence, we might wonder about the part of the Genesis story that tells of water coming over the mountains. There is a plausible scenario (no real ark in it either) but not suitable for a post since it rapidly turns into a book.
As far as the idea that there has been no mass extinction of land animals in recent history, one need only visit the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles to learn this is incorrect. There has been on this continent an unexplained loss of animal life some 10,000 plus years ago. There are well documented mounds of skeletal remains from massive simultaneous animal death through out the world. That our science texts in school have managed to skip over this information does not mean the sites do not exist. In fact, there are even photos of these remains. The genetic bottle neck on this continent removed Giant Sloths, Mastodons and Mammoths from our landscapes amongst other interesting creatures. We may stray further off topic by speculating as to why this subject is not covered in schools, but that will certainly land us right back on topic.
Very sorry this has run too long. Great discussion. Thanks.
Hey there B.L. Freeborn,
Concerning the accuracy of the science I mentioned. I got the figure of 750,000 years of ice core samples from this article from NASA which says:
Are you challenging the veracity of that article? If so, please post a link that supports your claim.
As for a global flood as described in the Bible, you wrote:
It seems you are admitting that the Biblical description is extremely unlikely, if not outright impossible. Is that correct?
As for a mass extinction of land animals in recent history, you wrote:
I think you missed my point. I was not talking about the extinction of a few species here or there that could have been caused by an ice-age, predation, drought, disease, or whatever. I was talking about the extinction of ALL LAND ANIMALS everywhere on the globe, except for pairs that were carried on the ark. That would cause a huge genetic bottleneck in each species that would prove the date of the flood. We could easily measure it using the same techniques that have been used to determine the existence of mitochondrial Eve. No such bottleneck exists. Check out this article on genetic bottlenecks.
Great chatting,
Richard
You come across as rather angry probably from doing this too long.
I meant metaphor when I said the story is a metaphor. One is not supposed to believe it verbatim or perhaps even in paraphrase.
It is you who stated the ice cores go back only 150,000 years not I. My mistake for pointing out they go back further.
It would appear you are arguing with the choir.
Best of luck.
