Fundamentalist Canerite Peter Lumpkins has Lost His Mind

BREAKING NEWS!

Fundamentalist Canerite Peter Lumpkins posts video showing that James White accurately pronounces the word “Qur’an!”

Why would he do such a thing? It was in response to an analysis posted on White’s site in which he and a native speaker of Arabic expose Caner’s grotesquely ludicrous public presentation of RANK GIBBERISH as if it were Arabic. Here is White’s video:

To poor Peter’s Canerite mind, all of Ergun’s gibberish is interpreted as nothing but mistakes in “Arabic pronunciation.” He apparently believes that “a’kalnamu summa akash aborrobbol” is real Arabic only poorly pronounced.  Yeah …. right. Let this be a lesson to everyone about what happens when folks vigorously seek to fulfill Romans 1:

… because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.  22 Professing to be wise, they became fools …  28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind,

So here is Peter’s response to White’s devastating demonstration that Caner is not merely a liar, but a really stupid liar who thought that he could pass off fake Arabic in public and get away with it:

I had planned to put up Part II on “James White, Scholarship, and Insulting Ergun Caner” but ran out of time this week.  You may read Part I here.

In the meantime, however, we can have a good laugh at the collage I threw together.  James White mercilessly ridiculed Dr. Ergun Caner’s Arabic pronunciation.  Note on the video, White’s love for rrrrrolling those “R’s.”  I wonder if rrrrrrrolling “R’s” is indigenous to Arizona? — Peter Lumpkins

James White did not “ridicule Dr. Ergun Caner’s Arabic pronunciation.” James White proved yet again that Ergun is an outrageously blatant liar without sufficient sense to realize that no man who spouts such gibberish should ever be allowed to retain a position in academia, let alone a seat as president of a theological seminary.

And just for fun, here is “Dr. Caner” presenting his “Arabic” or “Turkish” or whatever “a’kalnamu summa akash aborrobbol” is supposed to be …

This video is discussed more in my article Ergun Caner’s Crimes against God and the Global Community.

Richard, Romans 1 is quite appropriate for what we are seeing here with the response to the Caner scandal. But then, I have seen this sort of thing for the last 20 years. I thank God for the internet. I pray more folks will stop following these men.

  2. Amen Lydia!

We are of one mind here.

I believe the advent of the internet will have a similar effect on all religious institutions (and other forms of oppression) as the advent of the printing press had on the Roman Catholic Church.

  3. Lydia says:

Richard, for years as I witnessed so much evil in the institution (as a consultant to mega churches) I kept thinking of Acts 20 where Paul is speaking to the Ephesian elders. It is as if I really did not want to believe what Paul said could relate to what I witnessed. But I read it now, and I can see the tears in Paul’s eyes as he spoke this truth…which is the truth for most of the history of the institutional church:

I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; 30and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.

This is exactly what has happened and I can attest it is happening more than most people realize who have been in one church. The wolfish behavior of the leadership is institutionalized. Institutionalized sin. The kind that is easily rationalized to blind followers if one does not really know Jesus Christ.

The sad irony is that Caner should fear for the fact he has supporters defending his 9 years of lying. But he cannot see the reality of what that means.

  4. Lydia, thank you for testifying to the truth. I think it is an inevitable consequence of an “institution” – the godless folks (wolves) driven by a desire to have power over others see that they can have ultimate power in religious organizations. Thus they use brute force and wicked deceptive tactics to eliminate (or control) all the good shepherds that might have been there, and in short order the institution is utterly corrupted and controlled by the wolves.

Sunlight is the only agent that will correct this great evil. And that’s why freedom of speech is of utmost importance. And that’s why we can thank God for the printing press of the 15th century, and the internet which is the printing press of the 21st century.

And as an example of all that I just said, consider the fact that the oppressors of the SBC have tried to shut down blogging. They attacked Wade Burleson, and even passed a a resolution against it (see Wade’s post Thou Shalt Not Blog).

  5. Lydia says:

Oh, I am familiar with the resolution. You can even hear many non blogging pew sitters talking about how evil blogs are. They believe what they are told from the pulpit.

They have been taught that saying anything negative about the leadership is a sin. It must be kept private. This teaching crosses all doctrinal focus from the seekers to the reformed. EVen Rick Warren instituted a “covenant” new members sign where they agree not to publicly critisize the leadership or the church. As a new member, they are in love and cannot imagine doing such a thing. But when they start seeing things and speak up, they whip out the “covenant” and now can show others what hypocrites these dissenter are because they signed it and did the opposite. It really is insidious tactics. I saw it all the time.

NOTE: People…do NOT sign membership covenants. Let your yes be yes and your no be no!

And the church was never meant to be an ‘institution’ or organization but a living Organism testifying to the Greatness of our Savior. A Body of Christ where all “members” are connected and needed.

I agree about the printing press. The internet is to us what the printing press was to those in the 15th century.

  6. “Even Rick Warren instituted a “covenant” new members sign where they agree not to publicly criticize the leadership or the church.”

Wow, that’s disturbing. I found this article talking about it. The first point they agree to says “I will protect the unity of my church: by acting in love toward other members, by refusing to gossip, by following the leaders.” The accusation of “gossip” and “causing division” are the two primary tools used by corrupt leaders to silence anyone talking about their crimes. FBC Jax Watchdog recently had a post about a 15 year old girl raped and impregnated by leadership and the whole congregation was told to talk to no one but “Jesus” about it. The article is called Trinity Baptist Church Members: PLEASE DISOBEY YOUR PASTOR

  7. Lydia says:

Do NOT be fooled by Rick Warren. He has a tight grip and squashes dissent fast. A few years back he even had a PR guy making the rounds on blogs defending him. (Mainly over his synagogue 2000 and PEACE plan). Wish I could remember his name but it escapes me.

The whole “unity” thing is protected in the mega world like you would not believe. What they are really saying is that unity means agreement and conformity. The process of developing unity is quite perfected in mega circles. Small groups…make it your entire social life…you do not dare want to lose ALL your friends and YOUR whole life by disagreement, do you? That is what will happen if you dissent. This works on 90% of people.

Warren is a man who went to Syria and told people on video from Syria that Syrian Christians there had freedom! He believed what the government told him!

Warren is whoever he needs to be when talking to a group. He is like a great chameleon.

    Mr. McGough,

James White, in no way, shape, or form, is pronouncing Quran correctly. I could care less about Caner, but for you to claim that White is pronouncing Quran correctly shows you either

    1. Do not know any Arabic
    2. Have not asked someone who speaks Arabic
    3. Are being willfully dishonest.

There is a hamza after the r.

    قرأن

There is not a “roll” as James White seems to do in order to sound like he knows what
he’s talking about, when in fact he sounds foolish to anyone, such as myself, who speaks Arabic.

If you don’t believe me, check out the various videos by Arab muslims on youtube in how the pronounce the word. You will notice a “break” in between the r and the “an.” This is basic Arabic, man. James White even butchers the word “muhammad,” when it’s the most popular name in the Arabic world.

If you want to attack Caner, that is one thing, but to mislead people is quite another.

  9. I don’t understand your complaint. I never said James White could speak Arabic correctly. He’s just a beginner, he admits it himself. I posted his video because it reveals Caner’s errors.

Exactly what have I written that would “mislead” anyone? I would very much like to correct any error you can point out.

    Thanks!

  10. M Burke says:

Keep in mind that Dr. White has never claimed to be an expert in Arabic. His videos even show his Arabic tutor correcting him. The fact of the matter, however, is that James White clearly knows more Arabic than Ergun Caner ever did.

  11. Ha! You got that right! I’d be surprised if Caner could recite the Arabic alphabet. He’s nothing but an arrogant liar who took advantage of Christian ignorance for over a decade. To use biblical language, he is an absolute abomination.
