Hey there my friend!
I understand your method. It reminds me of the kind of algorithmic games many mathematicians find intriguing. For example, the Collatz sequence: start with n, multiply by 3 and add 1 if odd, otherwise divide by 2. No matter what number you start with, it will ultimately end up in a cycle 4, 2, 1, 4, 2, 1. Mathematicians have never been able to prove this. It's a very famous unsolved problem in math.
Another interesting algorithm is this:
1. Start with any 4 digit number that's not a repdigit. E.g. 4325
2. List the digits in descending order: 5432
3. Reverse and subtract: 5432 - 2345 = 3087
4. Repeat: 8703 - 0378 = 8325
5. Repeat: 8532 - 2538 = 6174
6. Repeat: 7641 - 1467 = 6174 <<< fixed point. Always works! Isn't that curious?
Now your algorithm is much more intriguing since it involves the Word of God. I know it feeds your soul to see connections between verses, so I praise God you found something that keeps your nose in His Word.
I understand your method, let me try to systematize it and spell it out for others. Note, I will be using functional notation so the equations are mathematically correct.
Begin by picking an arbitrary verse, e.g. Ecclesiastes 7:27. This is the 17457th verse. I will use the ordinal verse number as the "ID" of the verse.
STEP 1: Calculate English Ordinal gematria of the Verse Address spelled out: EOVA(17457) = 357
STEP 2: Calculate digital sum of ordinal verse number. D(17457) = 24.
STEP 3: Add chapter + verse numbers. CV sum = 7+27 = 34. I will denote this as CV(17457).
STEP 4: Add the two. D(17457) + CV(17457) = DCV(17457) = 58.
STEP 5: Calculate digital sum. D(58) = 13
STEP 6: Calculate the English Ordinal gematria of the verse and its digital sum. EO(17457) = 803 and D(803) = 11
STEP 7: Go to verse 357 (from STEP 1) and repeat STEPS 2-6. Note any common numbers. In this case, the two verses have the same CV sums STEP 3 and the same digital sums from STEP 5. I can write these relations as:
CV(17547) = 34 = CV(EOVA(17547)).
D(DCV(17547)) = 13 = D(DCV(EOVA(17547))
Now at this stage, these numbers have nothing to do with the content of the verses. The two coincidences are based entirely on the names of the books and the way there are broken down into chapter and verse.
Now this brings up the question: how often do we have CV(x) = CV(EOVA(x))? I asked Grok to write an HTML/JS page that checks all the verses of the Bible to find all the matches. Here are the results. I haven't confirmed they are all accurate yet, but your result is listed.

Grace and Peace in Mashiach YESHUA
Grace to you my brother,
Yes, I know that there is a LOT more going on than just that one match. I was just curious how common that particular part of the pattern is.
FYI - Grok didn't get the ordinal verse numbers exactly right. Looks like there's a bug in the code. Grok produced it in response to a single prompt. Very impressive that it worked as well as it did.
In Christ,
Richard
PS: Do you have a personal name I could use in our conversations? It might help us see each other as brothers.
The verse number is wrong but the values are correct.

And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. = 683 = 17
Verse 1660 = 13 | Exodus 6:4 = 10 _ (23) 5
And I have also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers. = 1400 = 5
I started at the bottom of the list and am making my way to the top, for now only C+V = 34
From the list
27444: Acts 2:32 -> 259: Genesis 10:24 (CV=34)
You're right about the verse numbers being scrambled, Grok just makes stuff up, estimates things out of thin air. Start by giving Grok a PDF of the entire KJV numbered 1-31102 with the verses and the text, then maybe Grok will get it right.

Yeah, they do hallucinate a lot. But I think the error with the verse numbering is just a bug in the javascript code Grok wrote. The first error I found is in Exo 1:18 which it says is verse 1550 when in fact it is 1551. That discrepancy of 1 persists up to Proverbs 3:10 where it jumps to 16905 - 16466 = 439. And then that discrepancy persists for a while. I'll see if I can fix it.

My code malfunctioned a bit and due to having the same verse occur next was fixed, fortunately it wasn't anything that took away from the whole, But corrected the symmetry is even better, and there is something about the 5 in that sequence also, can't quite put my 10 fingers on it, the next post after this one when it is ready will be Matthew something something which has the same sum of 259, coming up and hopefully error free. amen
I gave up on using grok for anything because when I'd check the results there would always be errors, grok would acknowledged that it err up, give some bogus butt reason why yada yada - chitty chitty bang bang and since it was so unreliable, and I had to double checked everything for the most part defeated the purpose for me at least.
For writing code, yeah it saves a lot of time, fix a few bugs, not what I need when using it.
