I got some new idea.

John 10:30,

ἐγὼ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἕν ἐσμεν = I and the father, we are one

ἐσμεν (esmen)
Verb - Present Indicative Active - 1st Person Plural = we are

Why most translations don't stress that is kind of an enigma

The saying was placed by John in the context of the feast of dedication, nowadays called "chanukah", the festival of lights, or better the festival of the miracle of the oil.

One jar of oil, enough to have the menorah burn for one day, miraculously had the menorah burn for eight days, the time needed for to prepare new oil.

The oil comes from the pressed olive. It is the essence of the light, even of the light of the first day, where God said: "Let there be light"

The olive being the fruit of the sixth day, after Deuternomy 8:8

The pressing taking place in Getsemane = "gat shemanim" = oil press.

The name of God, the Tetragrammaton, being present in the initial letters of "yom hashishi vaychulu hashamayim", the last two words of Genesis 1:31 and the first two of Genesis 2:1, unites the sixth and the seventh day into a new day one, the eighth day.

(eighth day of christmas = 1ste of January - day of circumcision of the Lord = new year)

What is new?

I thought John 10:30 alludes to the 26th verse of Genesis 1: "Let us make man"

My teacher, Roman Catholic, had suggested that the number 26 of this verse alludes to the name of God - "yod-hey- vav -hey" = 10-5-6-5 = 26

Name of God that is not present in the first story of creation

( "b'reishit bara elohim" -- not: "b'reishit bara hashem", etc. )

a really provocative remark -- the Church was/is not pleased with such - and also not the so called scientific exegesis.

Only later on I learned that the name is present in the initial letters of "yom hashishi vay'chulu hashamayim"

if you look at the verse division of Genesis 1 you can see strange patterns:

And God called the expanse Heaven, and it was evening, and it was morning, a second day.

the mentioning of "and it was evening and it was morning" in three cases, viz. 3rd , 4th and 5th, is in an apart verse. If it would have been joined to the preceding verses, there would have been three verses less in the first chapter of Genesis, and the 26th verse "And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, etc." would have been the 23rd instead of 26th.

So it seems they have been deliberately set apart to make "And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, etc" the 26th verse
