Alphabetic Verse Isaiah 8

Richard had mentioned that Isaiah 8:17 matched Esther as it mentioned hideth ( hideth is not Alphabetic but matches the title of the 17th book Esther ) his face and verse 18 mentions Zion and hosts.

But looking at the Interlinear I noticed that the Hebrew had Isaiah 9:1 as Isaiah 8:23. Is it a big deal to say who's right or who's wrong in the division the chapters? ( King James vs Interlinear? )

Is there an alphabetic pattern in this chapter?

That is an example of the difference between Jewish and Christian versification. The chapter break differs by one verse. This is a relatively rare problem outside of the Psalms, but it is very frequent in the Psalms because the Jewish number system includes the titles of the Psalms which are left unnumbered in the Christian Bibles.

I have not analyzed the differences to see if there is any structural confirmation of who is right and wrong. I don't have any examples off the top of my head where it makes a difference, but if I think of one I'll post it.
