God and the Binary system

I read with interest from a website:

The Bible in Genesis 1:1-5 says that there was darkness in the beginning and God created light in the first day. We can interpret this situation in mathematics by giving 0 to explain darkness and 1 to explain light as absence of light is darkness. And this system of mathematics is called Binary system.
In Binary system :
1 is represented as 1
2 is represented as 10
3 is represented as 11
4 is represented as 100
5 is represented as 101
6 is represented as 110
7 is represented as 111

God blessed the 7th day (Genesis 2:3) because 7 shows 111 or trinity of GOD.

Further to that, 7 X 111 = 777 = Jesus.

Many Blessings.

Nice insights Cheow!

There is a lot of beauty in the relation 7 = 111 (base 2)

But I don't know what you mean by 777 = Jesus. In Greek, we have Jesus = 888

Hi Richard,

777 represents perfection, who else is perfect except God. Therefore 777 represents the perfect person and that is Jesus.

Many Blessings.

Hi Richard,

It has been awhile.

It is interesting that the name 'Jesus' in the Hebrew OT shows up in two forms of spelling: as Yehoshua (Num.13:16; Zech.3:3) and as Yeshua (Ezra 3:2).

Yehoshua = 391
Yeshua = 386

Their addition is 777.

[I still find the Bible Wheel fascinating ]

Hi Hugh,

Good to hear from you!

That is an very interesting insight. I had not noticed it before. I have never "liked" the name Yeshua because the lion's share of numerical identities that seemed significant to me are based on the full spelling of Yehoshua with a Vav. And the Jews have a tradition that removal of a letter from a name is indication of divine judgment against that person.

I'm not sure what significance there is in the sum of those two names, but it is interesting. Thanks for pointing it out!

There also is one other variation of the name Yehoshua - it is written with two Vavs in Deuteronomy 3:21 and Judges 2:7. It has a value of 397 in those two verses.

Hi Richard,

The following is part of a post I did long ago on 'The Torn Veil and the 70th Week' thread.

From Rev.13:17,18, we glean that names have numeric values. It is widely accepted the name Jesus in the Greek language has a numeric value of 888.

I have seen very little on Jesus' name in the Hebrew language. There are two forms of Jesus' name in the OT, Yeshua and Yehoshua. Compare Ezra 3:2 with Zech.6:11. Also compare Neh.8:17 with Num.13:16.

The numeric value of Yeshua is 386. The numeric value of Yehoshua is 391. Adding 386 to 391 equals 777. When these names' alphabetic place values are included the sum becomes 888, which is the same as the numeric value of the greek for Jesus.

The difference between the names Yeshua and Yehoshua is the 5th Hebrew letter 'hey'. I see significance when I read of Abram and Sarai having their names changed by YHWH to Abraham and Sarah (Gen.17:1-17). These name changes come about because of the promise that the Messiah will be the 'seed' of Abram and Sarai (Gal.3:16). Both Abram and Sarai recieve a 'hey' into their names. Abraham and Sarah are in a sense more 'exalted' names than Abram and Sarai. They are now more aligned with the purposes of YHWH. They have recieved great grace.

Perhaps Yehoshua is the 'exalted' name of the Messiah while the Yeshua name is the 'humble' one. In Phillipians 2:1-10 we read that Christ 'emptied' himself taking a form of a bond-servant. Grace and truth are realized through Jesus Christ (Jn.1:17).

This fits well with a type of Christ in the OT, Oshea the son of Nun who was exalted in order to replace Moses and lead the Israelites into the Promised Land. In Num.13:16 Moses called Oshea 'Yehoshua'. And in Jos.3:7 it says
"Now YHWH said to Joshua [Yehoshua], "This day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you." Oshea means salvation while Yehoshua means 'Yahweh is salvation'.
And the Jews have a tradition that removal of a letter from a name is indication of divine judgment against that person.
The Jewish tradition is interesting in that it demonstrates God's judgment/wrath against the humbled Servant Jesus through the two Hebrew names for Christ. Read Phil.2:1-10 again.

blessing in Yeshua,

That's good info. Very interesting that summing the ordinal values completes the sum to 888 = Jesus.

And the connection with the Hey added to Avram is very significant. We talked about that recently. Here is a comment I made in that thread:

Yes, I can verify it and add some insight. Consider the fifth Hex/Star pair:

S(5) = 121
H(5) = 61

Jacob = 2T(13) = S(5) + H(5) = the sum of the fifth Hex/Star pair.

And so we see a close geometric relationship between the name Jacob and Israel:

Jacob = S(5) + H(5)

Israel = S(5 + 5)

I don't have time to draw the graphics right now, but I think it would be a great idea.

Thanks for the insights.

Richard
It just occurred to me that God followed a similar pattern when He changed the names of Abram and Sarai. He took the Yod = 10 from Sarai and split it into two Hey's = 5 + 5 which He then inserted into their names:

Abram (243) ====> Abraham = 248 = 243 + 5
Sarai (510) =======> Sarah = 505 = 510 - 5

It seems very significant that God used similar patterns based on ten and two fives in the two cases when He changed these names.

Richard
So now we have a third example of a name change involving the letter Hey:

Yehoshua = 391

Yeshua = 386

blessing in Yeshua,

Hugh391
Excellent point - I was going to add that comment myself in my previous message. The Book of Philippians is on Spoke 6 and links deeply with the concept of the humility of Christ's humanity (6 = man). Here's the link:

God in the Likeness of Man (The Humiliation of God)

It also is very interesting that the first book on Spoke 6 is "Joshua" or more accurately Yehoshua = 391 and the second book on Spoke 6 is Hosea, or more accurately Hoshea = Yehoshua minus Yod = the original name of Joshua!
Numbers 13:16 These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.
Thus the first two books aligned on Spoke 6 are variations of the name Yehoshua, the name of Jesus! And they differ by 10 = 5 + 5:

Yehoshua = 391
Hoshea = 381

I'm sure there's something going on here ...

Jesus in the LORD's prayer.

The 3 spellings of Jesus in Hebrew.
Yehsua 386
Yehoshua 391
Yehoshua with an extra Vav, 397

The first two are 777. I believe it is the Hey added, like in the first Adam, to breathe life into His Son at the Resurection.
But I also believe He is coming back.

The added 397 makes it 1174.
The first mention of a word with value of 1174 is Sabbath בשבתתיכם

This is 26 or YHVH short of 1200.

117 is Malek YHVH and 4 is a door. The Angel of the LORD stepping through the door of the Cross to Tabenacle with us.

A dear friend asked me once if I had looked at the LORD's prayer in Hebrew.
The second line just jumped up and KO'd me. YitKadesh Shmikha. Hallowed be Your Name. 1174

I'm just a silly Gentile who dreams in Semitci Hebrew, but there must be so much more...

The Altar of Incense is pronounced as if it has a Vav but it is not spelled with it. Without the Vav it is 771 NV and Ord 104 (Aleph Tav / 401 backward)
With the Vav it is 777 and 111 respectively. "No one comes to The Father, but by Me". 111 is Aleph spelled out and also Backward Pella, the name the Angel of the LORD gave to Menoah.

Et Shalom = 777
Pesach 148 + Holy Spirit with the Vav 629 = 777
Pesach 148 + Hey 5 = 153... Sons of God "As many are as led by the Spirit of God they are the Son's of God"

The Scriptures have come alive to me and the Truth of His Livign Word is Amazing!!!

DNA is like a computer program

Note Bill Gates Quote:

Bill Gates

?DNA is like a computer program but far, far more advanced than any software ever created.?

― Bill Gates, The Road Ahead
There seems to be a connection of DNA with computer codes using proteins C, A, T, G instead of 0s and 1s. Here are the parallels and may prove intelligent design:

bits = nucleotides
bytes = codons
ASCII table = codon table
letters = amino acids
words = proteins

God Bless.
