Rashi on Ecclesiastes 1:9,
In whatever he learns, in a matter that is an exchange for the sun, there is nothing new. He will see only that which already was, which was created in the six days of Creation. But one who meditates on the Torah constantly finds new insights therein, as it is stated (Prov. 5:19): "her breasts will satisfy you at all times." Just as this breast, whenever the infant feels it, he finds a taste in it, so are the words of Torah

on verse 1
Now for what reason = ומה טעם, "umah ta'am" = and what is the taste? In the beginning: Said Rabbi Isaac: It was not necessary to begin the Torah except from "This month is to you" (Exod. 12:2) which is the first commandment that the Israelites were commanded,(...) . Now for what reason did He commence with "In the beginning"
on verse 11-12,
Exodus 12:2,fruit trees: That the taste ("ta'am haetz") of the tree should be like the taste of the fruit ("k'ta'am hap'ri"). It [the earth] did not do so, however, but "the earth gave forth, etc., trees producing fruit," but the trees themselves were not fruit. Therefore, when man was cursed because of his iniquity, it [the earth] too was punished for its iniquity (and was cursed-not in all editions).
This month is to you : הַחֹ֧דֶשׁ הַזֶּ֛ה לָכֶ֖ם , "hachodesh hazeh lachem"
Rashi:
This: Moses found difficulty [determining] the [precise moment of the] renewal of the moon, in what size it should appear before it is fit for sanctification. So He showed him with His finger the moon in the sky and said to him, "You must see a moon like this and sanctify [the month]."
