The 13th century a young man went through similar bullying as did David as he became king. When the king of Ammon died and his son reigned in his stead there was a rumor that as David sent men to comfort the new king that he intended to spy out the land. For that reason they shaved his servants and embarrassed them and sent them back to Israel. As a result David armed his men and invaded Ammon. An almost similar thing occured as caravans coming from Mongolia to Khwarezmia the Shah embarrassed the Mongolian ambassadors by beheading one and shaving the other two and sending them back to Mongolia. And Genghis Khan invades Khwarezmia.
