Zechariah 3
2And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

Matthew 16
22Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

23But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Thanks for bringing that up. You had already mentioned (http://www.biblewheel.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11509&postcount=8) the link on the thread Joshua the High Priest and Spoke 16 (http://www.biblewheel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=865).

And it is not the only connection between Zechariah and Matthew 16. There are many of them in fact, as documented for example at Matt.16 -- Spoke 16 (Zechariah) link (http://www.biblewheel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1378). It is a network of several themes.

It is a wonder that Matthew 16 has another dense thematic network, this time with Daniel, as discussed at Has the Apostle Peter been in Rome? (http://www.biblewheel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1593). Now, we know that Zechariah and Daniel are closely associated with Matthew 16. But these two books also occupy symmetric positions on the Bible Wheel! They are diametrically opposed in the structure of the Bible. It is thrilling.

Victor, I'm amazed at your memory! I had forgotten that I had posted on this subject. I usually underline it in the bible. But this time I had left it blank.

When I read the opening post, I had a very strong feeling that I had seen it before. It couldn't have been something brand new. So I did a little research on articles about Spoke 16 and found your earlier post. :D
