Spoke 5
Deuteronomy, Daniel, Ephesians
|
 |
|
Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you:
ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. Ye shall walk in all the
ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may
be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
Deuteronomy 5:32f (Spoke 5, Cycle 1)
|
Walking with God is one of One of the great themes of Spoke 5. It is based on the
Heh KeyWord (Halak, Walk). Note
the intriguing phonetic correlation between the Hebrew
halak and the English walk, which essentially
differ only in the "ha" verses "wa."
Though we can presume Adam and Eve walked with God in the Garden, the first
statement as such is found in Genesis 5
(vs. 22):
And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked
with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked
with God: and he was not; for God took him.
This theme is easy to measure. Searching the
entire Bible for all verses containing the words
"walk*" and "God
" yields the following:

Note that the Fifth Spoke is the only Spoke that contains hits
on all three Cycles.
One of the hits from Daniel is particularly reminisecent of Deuteronomy. Note the common
set of words that link these passages (Lord, God, Walk, Obey*, Voice) [Verify]:
Deuteronomy 13.4 |
Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments,
and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. |
Daniel 9.10 |
Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in
his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. |

Walking in the Love of God
Yet the links do not end here. Deuteronomy is also deeply integrated with Ephesians.
In particular, both contain passages that speak emphatically about "One Lord".
Searching the entire KJV for all verses containing words from the set
("one Lord", love, walk*, teach*) within a few verses of each other yields exactly two verses:
Deuteronomy 6.4f |
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love
the LORD thy God with
all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which
I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently
unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when
thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between
thine eyes. |
Ephesians 4.1f |
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation
wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing
one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in
the bond of peace.
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all,
and through all, and in you all. ... And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets;
and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; |

Integration with the Inner Cycle of John
Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked:
and on the same day was the sabbath.
John 5:8-9
The distribution of the word "walk" by itself does not show any clear pattern in the Bible. Coupling it with
the word "God" acts as a kind of "filter" that selects verses speaking of "walking with God." As shown
above, this distribution is maximized on Spoke 5, with the additional feature that Spoke 5 is
the only Spoke with contributions from each of its books. If we now compare this distribution
with that of the root peripateo (Walk, S# G4043) in
John's Gospel, we arrive at
the graph below:

The distributions have been "normalized" which means that they represent percentages rather than absolute
numbers, so the peaks can be compared. The peak in John 5 correlates perfectly with the
peak on Spoke 5 of the Bible Wheel. But there is more. The distributions rise and fall together
on other Spokes, which means that distributions are NOT INDEPENDENT. This gives rise to the
relatively large value of 0.60 for the correlation coefficient which would be near zero for
independent distribtutions. But there is still more! The three
highlighted peaks, which includes the two of the maxima of the graph, spell the funndamental Heh KeyWord
(Halakh, Walk), which is also integrated with the Number 5 through
its numerical value:
| Walk
Halakh |
= 55 |
What kind of miracle are we witnessing here? Endless reiterative integration! The joint distribution of the
idea of walking in the
Bible and the Gospel of John is governed by the Hebrew letters that spell it! Glory! Glory! Glory! There
is no limit to the infinite
Wisdom of Almighty God - and to think, He has given us His Holy Word to teach us the Way to Walk with Him! Oh!
Praise His Holy Name!
