Spoke 2
Exodus, Jeremiah, I Corinthians
Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto
me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
Jeremiah 1.9
The theme of the Word dominates Spoke 2. It is deeply integrated with the
nature of the Trinity through the identity of the Second Person, God the Son,
"whose name is called the Word of God." Everything about the Word naturally integrates
with the Number 2 and its various symbols as Rod and Sword. Thus the book of Jeremiah
opens with this vision:
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest
thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me,
Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
This verse teaches us two things. First, the Rod here is a symbol of God's Word. But it is
not just any rod. It is a rod of almond, which teaches us two more things. The word Almond is
a shakad , which is a pun on hasten used in the explanation God gave for the vision. This shows
how God uses puns, doubling the meaning of a word, to teach. Second, the
word shakad is an anagram of Qadosh, which means Holy. The Rod of Almond is a symbol of God's
Holy Word.
Yet this is but the beginning of the relation between the Number 2, the Letter Beyt, and the Word.
The numerical value of Beyt is 412, which is the index of the
Logos Holograph built upon
Hebrews 4.12:
For the word of God is quick,
and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to
the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and
marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but
all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we
have to do.
The metaphor is amplified in Ephesians, where we are told to "take up the Sword of the Spirit,
which is the Word of God." The metaphors cascade into an avalache of Holy Teaching.
The image of the twoedged sword is seen coming out of the mouth of the risen
Lord Jesus Christ, again revealing it to be a symbol of God's Word. And in Revelation 19, we
see both symbols of the Rod and the Sword used as symbols of His Word and His Rule.
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:
and he shall rule them with a rod of iron
Thus we understand the Second Seal of Revelation, where the Horseman was given a Great Sword
to take away peace from the earth, that is, to cause the civil division called War, which is
another great theme of Spoke 2.
All these ideas manifest in the distribution of the words "word" and "words" throughout the
Bible.
