    Apostle Nathanael ?

Nathanael, only from John 1 and John 21, isn't listed as an apostle, but was apparently on the scene all the time, even from when they "found" Jesus to begin with.

When he said "My Lord and my God", it spoke to the contrast between him and Thomas -- and makes us aware of how some people 'believe' on the basis of very little evidence (it seems), while others, like Thomas, aren't going to take someone elses word concerning a matter of such great importance. And you say?
Dux allows: "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out the matter". Pr25:2

    Just a thought.
Maybe Nathanael was the silent substitute for Judas, since Judas's mind was on other things and not really paying attention to Jesus.

David, I suspect there's more to it, but can't put my finger on...
Nathan in OT was David's son, but why aren't there other "Nathan's", except in the Lk3 genealogy? No other Nathanael either... seems strange to me.

Some suggest that Bartholomew and Nathanael are the same person.
Im inclined to agree as i believe that Nat was one of the 12.

Maybe so, Weeder -- The Twelve are listed in
Matt10:2, Mk3:14, Lk6:13, Acts1:13 and consistently in 3 groups of 4, with Pete and brother Andrew in the first string, the 2 Judas in the last string.

Nathanael (maybe from Nathan in OT?) never included.. Do you know of any link to Bart?
