By sweeping the God of the Bible under the rug, I assume you can present some concrete evidence of such a broad statement. See this link for an applicable response: http://www.biblewheel.com/forum/show...6047#post46047

Case in point: Intelligent design is not an answer. It is mere assertion with no content. I could just as well say Mickey Mouse did it.

You know that any explanation about the ultimate source of matter would be speculative. That's why Christians focus on it. They know that their answers are just as speculative as all others, so they focus on the unanswerable questions because they are trying to "level the playing field" since they cannot compete with the logic and facts of science.

And besides, I already answered your question, but you showed no sign of understanding what I was talking about. Specifically, here was our exchange:

I would be happy if you wanted to discuss the reasons I gave. But that would involve a rather heady discussion of epistemology and the philosophical implications of Quantum Physics. I don't get the impression you are really interested or informed on those topics. That's why I have suggested that we discuss things that we both know about and can settle with logic and facts. Epistemology and Quantum Physics don't fit that bill.

    All the best,

    Richard
I think this link is an appropriate response to your assertion: http://www.biblewheel.com/forum/show...6047#post46047

I hope the best for you too Richard.

I read your post on the other thread and will give a brief response here. If the biblegod were truly the creator of the universe he could rule the world anyway he would choose, but that is not the point. The concrete evidence against the biblegod being the creator is contained in the Bible itself, which disproves his existence with practically each new scientific discovery.

Science can logically explain how life began starting with the creation of DNA, and the creation of the universe going back to the Big Bang. So if an intelligent mind started the process of life from DNA and sparked the Big Bang that is a far cry from the way the biblegod is said to have formed the universe and life. That is the point that Richard and I are continually making.

    All the best,
    Rose

    Hi John,

I responded to that post - it was very interesting, frank, and open. I really appreciated it, but I don't see what it has to do with the conversation we were having in this thread.

    • Skepticism is the antiseptic of the mind.
    • Remember why we debate. We have nothing to lose but the errors we hold. Who but a stubborn fool would hold to errors once they have been exposed?
