The Infertility of Women in the Bible

Have you ever noticed how it is always women who are barren in Scripture, not once in the entire Bible is infertility ever attributed to the male? It’s a proven fact that up to 50% of infertility is attributed to the male, so if Yahweh created humans then he was well aware of this fact, yet why is it in the Bible that infertility is always laid at the feet of the woman? Even if primitive man believed that all infertility was because a woman was barren it does not mean Yahweh should have agreed with them and supported the idea. Yahweh could have easily informed ignorant humans on the nature of reproduction, instead he led men to believe that they were the carriers of little Homunculus (sperm containing a complete individual human) in their loins, which directly led to the belief that women were only the soil which grew the Homunculus.

Gen.46:26 All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six;

According to the Bible it is Yahweh who causes women to be barren, and it is Yahweh who opens their wombs when he so desires to show his power. It seems that Yahweh is solely the cause of a woman’s infertility and it never has anything to do with a man. When Yahweh decides to open a woman’s womb she gets pregnant with the Homunculus from the man, otherwise she remains barren.

I regret flaring up Rose's obsession in one of my posts which discuss about stopping the wombs and why didn't God castrate the males also.

As we have discussed before, the male is the one that carries the X and Y chromosomes in his sperms. Therefore in the process of "humbling", if the X sperm merged with the egg which carries only the X chromosome, the baby will be a female (XX) and if the Y sperm merged with the egg, then the baby will be a male (XY). Therefore, it is the sperm from the male that decides whether the baby is a male or a female. Therefore it is more accurate to say that the descendants both male and female will come from the loins of the males. Of course, this does not mean that the female egg is of no importance, for without the female egg and womb no baby can be born. This shows that both male and female are equally important in the breeding process.

Rose is wrong, there are many passages in the Bible that says about eunuch. As we know eunuch were castrated males which were mainly induced by humans if they served in the King's palace in the service of the King's wives and concubines for obvious reason that they don't "humble" with the King's wives and concubines. However in Matthew 19, Jesus did mentioned about eunuch that were not only man induced but induced by nature or God induced. Eunuch therefore seems to mean infertile men or unmarried men. Therefore, it is wrong to say that infertilty is caused by female only and that it is God-induced. There are male infertility due to low sperm count, injury to the sex organs, impotence etc.

He looked up at the window and called out, 'Who is on my side? Who?' Two or three eunuchs looked down at him.

Of course I know a eunuch is a castrated male, but that has nothing to do with what I was talking about. Men were castrated so they would not desire to marry a woman...instead they would totally devote themselves to the service of their master, or God. The Bible never speaks of eunuchs as being infertile because that's not the point of being a eunuch, it does however speak of women being barren, either by God's doing or naturally, but it is always God that causes the barren women to conceive.

Also, progeny is never in the loins of a man, at most a man carries half of the DNA instructions that has the potential to become a child after it fertilizes the egg carried in the womb of the woman. There are no souls carried in the loins of a man as the Bible says, God clearly led men to believe something that was false, thereby encouraging men to think that their offspring for all future generations were carried in their loins.

To put it simply, the man gives half the DNA plans for the offspring, and the women gives the other half of the plans for the offspring...while the woman constructs the flesh and bone body of the offspring totally herself, and gives birth out of her loins. There is no little homunculus in the loins of the man, only half the DNA that is used as a partial blueprint.

This is yet another example of how the "Word of God" displays a total ignorance of the way the world really works. I found this blog article written by an Associate Professor of the New Testament John Byron that confirms what you have written:

Childlessness, in the Hebrew Bible, is presented as a particularly female problem. There are no biblical stories that center on an infertile man.[1] The imagery of barrenness is never applied to a man. The focus and preoccupation with childlessness in the Bible falls solely and consistently on women. Moreover, childlessness is never presented as a positive or acceptable condition.[2] Every story of a childless woman in the Bible is about how that situation is reversed. Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, Samson’s mother and Hannah are all described as suffering a condition of barrenness which finds its resolution in divine intervention.[3] In addition to the stories of these five women, the negative image of childlessness is communicated by promises which declare that if Israel is faithful to God, there will be no barrenness in the land (Ex 23:26; Deut 7:14), suggesting that childlessness is evidence not of the blessing of Yahweh but a curse.

How could anyone think that the Bible is accurate in everything it says? It has errors from beginning to end. And these errors are not incidental. They touch the central theme of the Gospel message. Just as God was supposedly the one who would heal women afflicted with the inability to conceive, so we are told that God is the one who will heal us of our sin if only we believe. But how can we believe if we can see that the God of the Bible didn't even understand the most basic elements of the biology he supposedly created?
