I'd like to know what folks think about this Chi Kung Master. Does he really have the powers he seems to display in the video?

I once taught a form of Chi Kong called "The Eighteen Styles". The health benefits and relaxation is probably minimal to moderate. The power of Chi Kong as claimed in the video is overhyped. It may have some psychological, relaxation and balance benefits but physically not much.

Definitely not what it appears to be.
We do not know what (if anything) required this other doctor to undergo three months of treatment and all he can say at the end is he felt better after it.
I do not understand how weight transfers from the legs to the chest when gravity is acting downwards on all the body so the weight does not transfer upwards to make someone lighter. The paper is rigged to stand his weight.
The film does not show the paper towel getting hotter from cold to boiling point all as a result of energy from the hand. Some chemical action could easily take place inside the aluminium that was rolled up and the heat of the chemical reaction transfers to the hand holding it. Again, they did not show the starting from cold and getting hot.
Its just magic tricks.

Hi David,
Congratulations!
Well done! You inferred the correct answer. The charlatan puts the foil in a chemical bath (which is why he needed the towel to wrap it) and the reaction causes heat. It was debunked in this article.

Peter,
I moved our conversation to its own thread called Christianity and the Tree of Life since it was rather off-topic here. If you think a different title would be more appropriate I can change it. Also, you now have privileges to start your own threads if you like.
