    Lightbulb 2 Heaven

    Hi, all!

There must be a lot of fascinating stories & ideas about heaven out there (in here?) that needs sharing. Even if what you and me may think exists only in our own imagination ; remember, the Kingdom if Heaven is within you.

    So,

    a) How do you imagine heaven? I mean ; it`s certainly nice and all, but what do you think your "normal" day in heaven will be like?

    b) When we receive our heavenly body - how do you think it will work & feel like (compared to now)?

    c) What will be your first question to Jesus when you see him?

    Smile Heaven

    Hi skybreaker,

Yes, you're right - I'm sure there are a lot of interesting stories but I like to go to the Word of God first so I will know if I can believe the stories. Did you know that heaven is a Hebrew word -shamayim- which literally means 'fire and water'.

Mat 3:11 (54) I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He (Jesus) will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.. This is the entrance to the 'real heaven' that God has placed within us.

I think when I see Jesus I'm just going to say THANK YOU that you changed my heart to love you!

    Shalom

    Thanks, shalag.

Very interesting. But how do you imagine heaven to be like? Or don`t you?

And what about after you have said "THANK YOU" (and all that) to Jesus ; what will your first question be?

    a) My mind would be sailing through the stars while I talk to the ant and decode his DNA as he scurries across my toe.

    b) Like light driven by thought, love, and joy, only more solid, with perfect integrity in every way. No darkness in it, though there will be modulations in the intensity and frequency of the light.

    c) Got time for a Latte?

Very nice exercise - it kinda breaks open the sky for me (Ezekiel 1:1).

    Wow, Richard!

    Spoken like a true hippie!

    Respect!

I'll just be glad to get rid of all the knots and kinks that hold this carcass back.

    Ha! My cover is blown!

Guess those "hippie years" left some pretty deep impressions of what heaven might be like.

In my early walk I was up against a heavy wall that I called 'reality'. I remember the preacher asking me what I wanted to pray for 'to believe'. He mentioned certain things that I no longer believed in then - such as faith, love, hope, etc. But when he said 'truth' I looked at him and I said "I'll be willing to pray for truth". The truth of the gospel is now my 'reality'. Back in the 90's I was in a tough situation that required a strong faith. At that moment God brought me to the place of 'perfect peace'. In that moment all time ceased and the Lord lifted off ALL fear and ALL doubt so that I could 'see'. In that perfect peace I had no questions because I 'simply knew' in whose presence I was held, and I knew NOTHING surpassed His greatness. The greatest most horrendous disease was LESS than nothing for Him.

I wish I could tell you that I have remained in that place. But itís like the military Ė youíre given R & R but returned to the battleground to continue fighting the war with the enemies weapons searching you out. My last seven years here have been like the Great tribulation to me and I have had to force my mind to remember that perfect peace.

My vision of heaven is that I will be one with His presence. I canít imagine anything greater than that. I don't know how else to explain it. I know it will be majestic - beyond beautiful - because that is who HE is.

PS Back in the 70's I jumped out of an airplane with less than an hour's training. I didn't make a great landing - which cured me from jumping out of planes.
