Please explain to me how you folks can believe OT Israel constituted the types and shadows of Jesus Christ, yet are willing to go back to a physical temple system (type and shadow) which Jesus came to fulfill with Himself as the Temple, the High Priest, The Final Sacrifice, and Christians as the lively stones in that temple.

And if you also believe the kingdom was somehow postponed, please explain what part of biblical theology is accomplished by the thousands upon thousands of Jews and Gentiles that were saved all throughout the book of Acts.

Thank you. And for once, can we PLEASE stay focused on these two requests.
Well there comes the contradiction because the book of Matthew chapter 24 tells you that there is only one that is saved and they must give their testimony to the nations in this timeline.

The people mentioned in the book of Acts are portrayed as having the same orthodox beliefs as orthodox Christians today.
Jesus himself stood against orthodoxy and that can come in many forms.

Also how do Christians reconcile with the fact in both the OT and the NT the LORD asks for mercy not sacrifice?

If Israel build another temple it will fall down on their heads like the first two. They have been warned.

I have a lovely story to share with you. On the first mission to Israel I was invited to join a dear couple that met on the trip to join them at a wedding in Tiberius on the Sea of Galilee. You can imagine it was really beautiful, with the ceremony itself taking place on the water.

Anyhow, during the reception my host was talking to an orthodox mystic and they called me over to talk with them. The orthodox Jewish man told me many things about past, present and future in just a few minutes. He also said 'You have come to rebuild the temple, you have come on the love vibration'. My hosts and I laughed as we were leaving and said 'we are the temple' and that is perfectly what the scripture states.

However, as you mention the ''stones in the temple' that then takes us to the book of Revelation where it speaks of one that is made a pillar in the temple of the LORD.

I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. 13 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Rev 3

I can assure you that a pillar means a pillar and not stone. A stone can be any shape but a pillar is usually tall and slim, even if its a column.

Construction of Third Jewish Temple begins
    by Gman » Sun Dec 19, 2010 7:47 pm

A very interesting topic... Why? Because the Jews have already begun the construction of the Third temple in Jericho. The first part will be the altar. This temple will be 1 to 1 the scale of the upcoming 3rd temple. It will be very important step in preparing the Jewish priests for their priesthood.

The stones for the Altar were gathered from below the water line of the Dead Sea, wrapped in plastic and transported to Mitzpe Yericho, located some 15 miles east of Jerusalem, as can be seen in this report. According to Yehudah Glick, the Temple Institute director, the altar will be kept small, so that eventually it could be transported to the Temple Mount. According to him this is the 'ideal time to begin to build the Temple.' It will be interesting to see when that happens."

Biblical End Time Prophecies coming to LIFE - Preparing for Service in the Rebuilt Temple

Jews in the town of Mitzpe Yericho are taking practical steps to prepare for the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem, by preparing descendents of Cohanim (priests) and Levites for service. At the Mitzpe Yericho school, Temple priest hopefuls learn exactly how to conduct the daily Temple service and offer the required sacrifices.

"Today is really a historical event for the Jewish people,' organizer Levi Chazan said as another part of the school was completed. 'It is the beginning of the work for the Third Temple.'

The school will include an exact replica of the Temple. The latest addition to the replica was the area in which priests offered wine and water libations. The water offering was traditionally given on the Sukkot holiday, which was celebrated last week.

Festivities accompanied the completion of another step in the school's construction. Among those present was Baruch Marzel, long-time Land of Israel activist and parliamentary aide to MK Michael Ben-Ari. The timing of the work on the school is particularly appropriate due to recent Muslim riots against Jewish visits to the Temple Mount, Marzel said.

My favorite passages that indicates that the Third temple will be rebuild are Isaiah 2 and Zechariah 14:

The third temple is the one to come. Some people believe this temple will be built before Jesus returns to earth although there is limited evidence for this in the Bible. There are, however, a number of Bible passages which mention a temple being built after Jesus returns to earth. For example, the prophet Isaiah wrote
It shall come to pass in the latter days
that the mountain of the house of the Lord
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
    and shall be lifted up above the hills;
and all the nations shall flow to it. (Isaiah 2:2)

Zechariah 14:16-21 also mentions the 'house of the Lord' in Jerusalem being a place of worship in God’s Kingdom.

    God Blessed.
    Ask and You shall receive,
    Seek and You shall find,
Knock and the door will be open unto You.

    CHW,

Do you consider Amos 9:11 to be referring to the yet unbuilt 3rd temple? Just a yes or no will suffice...
