The "Full Preterst" (or rather, consistently "Preterist") view shares the Triumphalist interpretation that the New Heaven and Earth began with the resurrection of Christ (or Pentecost).
That is very helpful. Thanks Richard.

So, Preterist should be changed to Partial Preterist and then maybe under that should be Preterist, with the description you gave. Correct?

    Blessings to you, my friend.

There is no other book like the Bible in the world where you have to know the Author to understand the book. If Christianity were the religion of the Book then it would be no different than any other religion in the world. But, Christianity is Christ! It is the dynamic, personal Spirit of God functioning in man.

That would be an improvement, I do believe.
    • Skepticism is the antiseptic of the mind.
    • Remember why we debate. We have nothing to lose but the errors we hold. Who but a stubborn fool would hold to errors once they have been exposed?

Please be very brief in your explanation...I am hoping for four responses.

Please state whether you are a futurist (Parousia is still future) or preterist (parousia is past). I am curious as to whether there would be a difference of opinion based upon whether one is a futurist or a preterist. There shouldn't be a bias but one just never knows.
I don't suppose anyone would like to weigh with an answer to the ORIGINAL POST, would they? It is not an advertising forum for deflection on to unrelated matters.

Yes. It let's get back on topic:

But one small correction: The word "parousia" means "presence" and many Preterists would probably assert that the parousia in some contexts points to the always present presence of Christ, while in others it points to the "coming in judgment" of 70 AD.
