Alan Watts - What is Tao?

An interesting take on the Tao...

Never trust anything you are afraid to question ~

To know oneself is to know the universe...

Live Fully...Love Extravagantly...For the sake of Goodness

Be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Matt.10:16

    Come let us reason together...Isa.1:18

Hello Rose, have you read the 'Jesus Sutra's? Tao Christianity by Martin Palmer.

How Jesus taught 'Original Goodness' and Karma.

The text relates the conversation of Jesus with Simon.

The top of the stone sutra shows a cross rising from the Lotus.

In the ancient pictographs the cross sticks was also the TAV that became the letter T.

The sign of the TAO was different to how it is today. 3,500+ years ago it was two fishes swimming head to tail. male and female creating a sphere. Mosaics of these two fishes have been found in ancient mosaics found in Israel. Mosaics that had been buried and covered up. Although they were on the floor of the very first Churches.

You will also see the bust of Jesus as my avatar. Those two busts are dated to be 300AD. They were found at Hadda on the border of Afganistan. There was an ancient Buddhist/Greco city called Gandhara and the hara is also to do with the divine shrine within.

The bust in that picture shows us that Jesus was wearing what I call a buddhist top knot.

    Just sharing a few titbits...

    Hey there Mystykal,

Nice to see you here on our forum. In depth conversations are better organize in this format than in comment streams on the blog.

Alan Watts is cool. Don't be shy to share you thoughts.

    Shine on!
