And comforting news is that unbelievers who repent will be saved. But remember not everyone who call Him "Lord, Lord" will be saved except those who did the will of the Father who is in heaven.
You have a choice what you want to present. There's just as much good news out there as bad, if not more. If you are so optimistic, why do you constantly post warnings of doom and destruction? When is the last time you started a thread like "2012 - Are you ready for a great year of wonderful possibilities?"
I am optimistic because any disasters or major events mostly will usually follow by measures to reduce or prevent future disasters. A good example is the nuclear disaster in Japan in which more safety measures are now implemented to prevent or reduce future nuclear disasters in Japan. What wonderful possibilities are you expecting in 2012?....long lasting peace and prosperity?....people living happily forever and ever? Never in human history is there long lasting peace and prosperity and living happily forever and ever. This is humanly impossible but Nothing is impossible with God. Don't be deluded with human progress; human wonderful possibilities always come with more problems to solve...good example are nuclear energy and the use or rather the abuse of antibiotics.
Campassion? Now you went and changed the subject to dodge the point of my argument. You presented a silly little boat accident as if it had some relevance to everyone "being ready for 2012." A boat accident is not any kind of indicator of any danger to the general public.
I define disasters or major events if they affect several thousands of people in terms of sufferings and not just death. Disasters or major events can be natural or man-made. I feel sad seeing all these disasters and major events and I never go laughing at these disasters hysterically like this
It's rather insensitive, inconsiderate and uncompassionate. "A boat accident is not any kind of indicator of any danger to the general public." so is a small fire but if abused or went unchecked will result in a huge inferno. That Costa boat incident is probably a result of human negligence, what will happen if human negligence or stupidity continues to flourish and go unchecked at the expense of human lives and sufferrings?
May God show us His ways.
