    Joseph he adds/Yasaph he takes away

    Check Gesenius' writing on the name Joseph:

    or
    http://www.tyndalearchive.com/tabs/Gesenius/
    under yod vav samech peh

    Genesis 30:23
    Genesis 30:24

    Never realized that adding and taking away are almost related in words.

    Gen30:24 And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son. This verse is so interesting to me because "adding a son" may be applicable to the Joseph who married the virgin Mary. Did he know about the LORD doing the adding of a son (rather than himself)?
    They "supposed" he was the father of Jesus--but not so... amen?

    And Jesus' grandfather is Jacob too. But in Judaism they teach that there are two Messiahs:
    Son of David - triumphant king;
    Son of Joseph - suffering servant.

    But take a look at Benjamin's two names which describe Jesus.
    Benoni means son of my sorrows;
    Benjamin means son of the right hand
    which are both fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

    Not often I see Jacob spoken of as grandfather to Jesus, but most certainly agree. He's #63 from Adam and it's the only name in the pedigree that appears twice (so he's Jacob-II). Add to this how Enoch-II in the 7th generation, and Lamech-II in the 9th generation, and those two are the only "Jr.s" in the bunch... So the cryptogram 7x9 goes to 63, and makes Jesus #66.
