    Horoscope - Real or Myth?

I always held the view that the daily horoscope is not worth looking at because it's a myth. But every time I had decided to glance in the newspaper it gave me a accurate description of myself and what I'm doing that day or week.

You have discovered the power of the "generalized description" that is sufficiently vague so as to fit almost anyone or any thing. We see a similar phenomenon with "personality" descriptions. Couple that with selective perception, and tada! You have a very "convincing" prediction.

    Right RAM,

it's just speculation based on a generalised deduction. If someone born in Leo is this character and another born in Leo is also has this character and another born in Leo also has this character so all born in Leo should be this character.

I never believe in horoscope. I think it should be renamed as horrorscope for what you see is horror based on human speculation and deduction.

    Yes and no

Yes, the newspaper can't generalise the 40,000+ variants, but when you learn how to read the signs down to the minute a good Astrologer can average 90% predictability. The larger the number of Astrologers working together on the same person, the greater the degree of accuracy.

Remember, if there was nothing to it then God would not have said to stay away from it.

By the way I heard that Parker Bros. sell more Ouija boards in the US than the board game Monopoly.

Is this true? I heard it on the SDAdventists radio station the other day.

Yeah I know what am I listening to that for.
It's nice to once in a while re visit America in the 50's again, well that's what I get out of it. No smut, it's just unfortunate they're a 1 issue party.

If I see the horoscope in the papers I want to follow for a while to see if the prediction is correct. I challenge you to do that. And if it's false write in this thread how off it was.

If it's true then it's scary because your thoughts and actions seem to be predetermined. I'm not saying this because I noticed it happen to me once but a few times.
