    Lightbulb 46 Chromosomes and Levi

    Greetings People!

    Vernon has a page titled Revelations of a Biological Abacus in which he explores the 20 amino acids and their respective nucleon counts. Here's the link:

    http://www.whatabeginning.com/Misc/G...enetics_VS.htm

    There are other interesting gematrical links to this page, some of which I will develop in another thread at some future date. They concern the numerical values of the twelve tribes of Israel, this time organised as a Star. Really exciting stuff, too, for those who dig gematria. But for now, here are some intriguing parallels between the genetic code and one of the sons of Israel.

    Levi has a value of 46, and is the third son of Israel. The ideas connoted in his name cohere around the notion of man and woman uniting (Genesis 29:34). This point is primary in the etymology of his name. Levi comes from the verb lavah, meaning 'to adhere to; to unite'. This idea of union traced in the root lavah contains within its field the idea of twisting together, hence the name Levi has a secondary meaning of 'wreath; crown' in addition to its primary signification of 'uniting'.

    The notion of two partners being joined together (Genesis 29:34) through a process of bending and twisting has its analogue in the double-helix of DNA. Are there any aspects of Levi and the eponymous tribe that build on this initial intuition?

    The tribe of Levi were reserved for a special function amongst all the tribes of Israel. In effect, the tribe was chosen to be the nexus between God and His people. Once again the ideas of joining and uniting are found to coalesce around the name Levi.

    Human beings possess 46 chromosomes, the very value of the name Levi. The male and female contribute 23 chromosomes each to the young zygote. Thus, 46 is very much the number of biological union for humans. The parallels to the earlier scriptural, gematrical and etymological features of the name Levi are compelling.

    These points come to a head in the Star of Israel formation of the twelve tribes. I will develop a thread for this marvelous arrangement of the tribes at another time, but now seems like a good time to take a peek at the Star:

    http://homepage.virgin.net/vernon.je...S_Hexagram.htm

    Looking at the diagram, it will be noted that the six triangular spurs attached to the inner hexagon sum as:

    259 + 162 + 501 + 156 + 54 + 570 = 1702 = 37 x 46

    The value 1702 is seen to be a meaningful multiple of 46, the paired factor of 37 being the most significant biblically. We then find that 1702 is the gematria of the most meaningful verse in all Scripture relating to the matters being discussed in this post, for 1702 is the value of Genesis 2:18, where God first speaks plainly about the creation of man and woman.

    GENESIS 2:18 - It is not good for man to be alone....

    Hey Stephen,

    that is so cool - God never misses to surprise us - 23 & 23 = 46 = Levi
    I could connect the "23" to Psalm 23 and the "46" to Psalm 46 : Sit still and know that I am God... (or also Isaiah 4:6) - 1702 = Genesis 2:18 ! WoW!

    See my post on the Biblewheel Book - I attended a wedding and introduced the Pastor Williams to the Biblewheel - he got so excited after studying it all weekend - he said : "All I need is my Bible and the Biblewheel". (see my post under "Biblewheel Book")

    Shalom und Tschuess, gell!

    PS : I just studied the Star of David with the Triangles and want to share
    the following true story:
    In 1998 the LORD gave me a dream/vision about the Star of David.
    He said the following:

    Draw a triangle
    Draw another triangle (finishing the Star of David)
    Cut it in half ______________________________
    Three point to Heaven (God the Father, Son, Holy SPirit)
    Three point to Hell ( Father Abraham, Isaac & Jacob? &
    (the Law of Moses)
    Then in 1999 HE sent me to OLL - Mound - the roof is a Star of David
    and the Floor is the Hexagon (37x46=1702 and 1 + 7 + 2 = 10, my number)

    God's ways are mysterious...

    Greetings Stephen,

    Yes, the work on DNA and gematria will be very interesting. I would love to participate, but time seems pressed.

    Yes indeed, those ideas are right on. Note that the word itself is built from the meaning of the letters:

    Lamed = TO, FOR
    Vav = HOOK, NAIL, "AND", CONNECT
    Yod = Hand, Me, or MINE.

    LEVI = TO CONNECT TO ME

    That is the function of the Levitical Priesthood. See my article on Spoke 6.
    Here's a pic from the book:

    Yep! God revealed the meaning of the Priesthood in the name Levi and the structure of the Hebrew alphabet! Amazing!

    The connection with Gen 2.18 seems significant.

    And 1702 is a "metathesis" (anagram) of 2701.

    Good stuff Stephen!

    Oh, one other thing ... the transformation of Adam = 45 (Hebrew) to Adam = 46 (Greek) seems connected with the fact that in the NT, the Levitical priesthood ended, and all in the New Adam became a nation of priests unto God.

    Levi

    Hi White and Richard!

    Thank you both for your positive responses to this thread. There is much more to go on this theme, although it will be a while before I have the time to develop the ideas implicit in the Star of Israel formation of the twelve tribes. There are some truly wonderful numerical - and, quite probably, geometrical - connections between the Star and the nucleon counts that Vernon has elucidated in his page Revelations of a Biological Abacus.

    Richard, thank you for the further insights into the name of Levi. They are invaluable. I read your spoke 6 link and it is a great article. Also very stimulating thought in relation to Adam = 46 in Greek. Jesus is truly our connector with God, the second Adam. He is in every sense the vav, that very unusual Hebrew letter which functions as the copulative.

    While Gesenius lists just two other genuine vav words, it might well be that these turn out to be corruptions. These are the verbs vazer = 'to carry', and valed = 'to bear, bring forth'. If these were genuine vav words, one can't help seeing their connection to Jesus Christ. The reputed verb vazer is said to be the root of vazar = 'burden of guilt'. This word only appears at Proverbs 21:8. The reputed verb valed is the root of valad = 'offspring'. This word only occurs at Genesis 11:30. When I consider these two nouns - vazar and valad - and their reputed verbal roots, the first thing that comes to my mind is Isaiah 53:10,11. Our Lord Jesus Christ bore the burden of guilt - vazar - that separated us from God, and thereby made us the offspring - valad - of God by connecting us to the Father through His sacrifice and resurrection. Note that Isaiah 53:11 = 3168 = Lord Jesus Christ.

    So much interesting stuff in that spoke 6 article. I will have to give it another read tonight when I get home, it provokes so many other thoughts that connect to it. There truly is no limit to the glory and wisdom of God!

    Letters

    Good evening!

    Another important aspect of the number 46 is that Scripture was written using 46 letters, some of which, though having different end-forms - kaph, mem, nun, peh, tsadi in Hebrew; and sigma in Greek - yet remain the same alphabetic character.

    Unlike the equal division of 23 male and female chromosomes each in the human zygote, the scriptural division is 22 Hebrew characters and 24 Greek characters. Nevertheless, the parallel is intriguing.

    Another interesting fact about the number 46 is that it is obtained with a single operation based on the Holographic Generating Set:

    GenSet = (A, B, C)

    and
    A = 27
    B = 37
    C = 73

    The number 46 is simply C - A!

    This and much more about the number 46 is explored on another thread.

    Levi = Lamed Vav Yod = 30 + 6 + 10 = 46
    The joining and the #46 reminds me of the 46th book.
    1 Corinthians 6
    16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
    17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
    And Levi was named by Leah hoping to join herself with Jacob. Later on God takes the tribe of Levi to join himself to Israel.

    I've pondered on this subject for a while. The Hebrew is read right to left and Greek left to right. Putting them together would look like a menorah pointing to the servant lamp or middle lamp Jesus Christ. Old Testament prophecies point to the coming of the Messiah and the New Testament witnesses point to the Messiah who came.

    That's exactly correct!

    Note also that the idea of joining is linked to the letter Vav in Levi (to connect to me). Vav connects, joins. It is the sixth letter and the idea of joining appears in 1 Corinthians 6 that you quote.

    I wrote more about in The Number 46 and 1 Corinthians: sexual union, Adam and Everything.

    Makes me wonder if the name has any prophetic implications as well.
    Since the Vava means nail wouldn't the name Levi (Lamed Vav Yod) mean to nail me? Referring to the crucifixion? This way it shows how Jesus joined man to God?
