Nice thoughts!
Matthew 7 (Judge not) thus also links to Book 7.
Judges 6 & 7 tell the Israelites hiding in caves (chapter 6 which links with Joshua 10 and Revelation 6) in fear of the Midianites to chapter 7 with Gideon invading their camp. Joel mentions locusts and Judges' Midianites were as many as grasshoppers.
I check the name Gideon in the concordance and it said "warrior". I guess the name Gad comes close, which means "troop".
Also check Jephthah
After a bible study here's the lesson I learned:
Judge not that ye be not judged. First take out the log which is in your own eye and then you will clearly to take out the beam in your friend or enemy's eye (putting in my words).
Before invading the enemy Gideon had to destroy the images and grove to Baal and Ashtaroth in his city. I thin if we overcome the stumbling blocks in our lives we succeed in blessings!

Whereas the strong's concordance says Gideon means warrior, I have a small dictionary of biblical names which says it means to cut down. Could that be referring to the grove that he cut down?
