The Number 216 and the Holy of Holies

Our new member Lea asked me this question:
A question for Richard, I found the site so interesting after being given the number 216 in dream last night could someone expand on the holy of holies.
I have written an article about the Number 216 here. The primary point of interest is that the Holy of Holies is called the "Davir" (from davar, to speak) which literally means "speaking place." The KJV translates this word as "Oracle." It was a perfect cube 20 x 20 x 20 in the center of the Temple:
1 Kings 6:20 And the oracle [davir] in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.
The numerical value of the word davir is also a cube:

    Davir = 216 = 6 x 6 x 6

Most Christians have a superstitious fear of any triplet of 6 because of Revelation 13:18, but I think this is a misunderstanding. The primary meaning of the Number 6 is found in Genesis 1:
Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
A full discussion of the Biblical meaning of 666 is found here.

It seems very significant that God uses the cube for both the Holy of Holies and the New Jerusalem, and the the NJ Cube is itself a multiple of the value of the word Davar (Holy of Holies):

    NJ Cube = (12,000 furlongs) cubed = 216 x 8,000,000,000 cubic furlongs.

Thus NJ Cube = Holy of Holies x 8,000,000,000 (recall that 8 is the number of New Beginnings, the Octave)

There is much to study here. I would be very interested Lea to know more of your dream. It may lead to more insights.

    • Skepticism is the antiseptic of the mind.
    • Remember why we debate. We have nothing to lose but the errors we hold. Who but a stubborn fool would hold to errors once they have been exposed?

New Jerusalem as the New Holy of Holies

    Fascinating insights!

    So we have:

    New Jerusalem = 8 x Holy of Holies x 10^9

Since the Number 8 is the number of New Beginnings , the conclusion seems to be: the New Jerusalem is the New Holy of Holies!!

Of course there is also 10^9 as a factor, which functions as a magnifying number. Since 10^9 is the cube of 1,000, the identity also seems to link to one out of the two references to "New Jerusalem" in Scripture:
Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
    We have:
Him that Overcometh (Ho Nikon) = 1000

This relates to the fact that each believer is part of the New Jerusalem since each one is a temple for the presence of God. Thus:

    The New Jerusalem = 8 x Holy of Holies x 1000^3

    In yet another words:

The New Jerusalem = The New Holy of Holies formed by each victorious person in whom God indwells

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
    - 2 Corinthians 5:17; 6:16

Don't want to be picky but the Holy of Holies was at the end of the temple. There was the porch, the sanctuary and then the Holy of Holies.

    On the cube of six

    2+1+6=9
Hebrews referred to 9 as the symbol of immutable Truth.

The 216 colors formed by a 6󬝲 color cube are sometimes known as the web-safe color palette.

As six cubed, 216 is also symbolic of the Mark of the Beast in Christianity

It is a distinct possibility that 216, 6 cubed, is the coat of many colors. But divar is as far as the Gentile may go. Can't enter in. But the Lord has shown me we live in a time of five sixes, not three. The prophesy of three was true at the coming of Christ, but not now. The three sixes at that time were government, finance and denominational religion. Add education and healthcare/insurance to the other three.
