Thread: Tonoscope

    Tonoscope

Anyone here looked at this before?

    http://www.cymaticsource.com/cymaticsbook.html

Hans Jenny is supposed to have discovered that the vowel points in Hebrew, when spoken, will reproduce themselves in sand on his tonoscope.

In Gen 1:2 the word "moved" "rachaph" is translated as "quake, move, flutter" not to far from vibrate. It is 288. Is it conceivable that the first creative act was to "flutter/vibrate" and cause a sound. Then the utterance of the word "let there be light."

Does 288 have a connection to music?

That is an interesting concept - folks have studied the patterns made by sound on plates for many years. I looked at the link to Jenny's site, but didn't see any reference to Hebrew. Where did you get that info?

RAM, Truthfuly, I heard about the Hebrew by a woman and her Rabbi husband on Sid Roth. I just did a google on Jenny and tonoscope. Several of the sites read almost the same, so they were copy and paste. But one of the sites confirmed what the woman said, and supplied more info., it stated that the Hebrew and Indian Sanskrit (sp?) would both imprint letters on the plates. These were the only two languages that would imprint.
    It is all very interesting
I also come across this paper that talks about a "singularity pulse." The pulse was what created the world.

I agree that the shapes formed by sound are very interesting, but what do you think they mean by "imprint?" Are they talking about the shapes made by the vowel sounds looking like the shapes of the vowel points? That doesn't make much sense because the vowel points are just dots and small diacritical strokes.

As for Sid Roth - he's a pretty poor source of info. He's a sensationalist who gives a platform for all sorts of unfounded and outrageous claims like supernatural manifestation of gold dust and what-not. False claims like that give serious thoughtful folk good reason to reject the Gospel.

I found the link that I read,
    http://www.world-mysteries.com/sci_cymatics.htm

"In his research with the tonoscope, Jenny noticed that when the vowels of the ancient languages of Hebrew and Sanskrit were pronounced, the sand took the shape of the written symbols for these vowels, while our modern languages, on the other hand, did not generate the same result!"

I agree about Sid Roth and rarely listen to him. I heard the guest that night quote the study of Jenny and talk about the tonoscope. He was stongly implying that the spoken Hebrew would have an effect on matter, i.,e., our bodies. Several stories were told of healing as the healing scriptures were read in Hebrew. The guest was selling a CD of him playing classical Praise and Worship style music while Hebrew scriptures with English translation were spoken.

All I will say about that is that is was a beutiful sound.

    Tonality is of import.
    Order is of import.
    Rhythm is of import.
    Aretz "running" is of import
    Hope springs eternal.

These are the most resonant psionic sounds toward creation.
Hebraic meditation differs from all other eastern meditation methods, and opposite to them.
Our methods are toward developing greater consciousness activity as opposed to emptying the mind.
The purpose is toward bringing into physical existence things relative to thought concentration via meditation.

I am not allowed to say more...except there is both phoneme and symbolic representation of it's psionics.

It makes think of Exodus 20:15 (20:18),
And all the people saw the voices, \
    וְכָל הָעָם רֹאִים אֶת הַקּוֹלֹת

    which took place on Pentecost,
so it is a matter of Revelation

It also makes think of Bill Fontana's "structures of time"
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hzqv9oS3C8Y
    and of "the secret of gematria";
    The secret of gematria ( http://forums.carm.org/v/showthread.php?t=170020 )

The number 288 was found to be hidden in Genesis 1:1:

    http://www.biblewheel.com/forum/show...Jerusalem-Cube

when the individual values of each letter are multiplied the result comes to 23887872 x 10 ^27

    This equals 288 x 288 x 288 x 10 ^ 27

Which means it is a perfect cube
