40 yrs of the wilderness = 40 yrs of advancing the saints after the cross;
10th plague in egypt = 10th king of Roman empire during which the christians were released from "Egypt" AKA Judea ?
(this is a new consideration for me)
8 in the boat, 8th day of new creation in new Adam of the everlasting convenant of Mercy, 8th day for circumcision.??

Been discussing the fulfillment of the feasts (or lack thereof from another persons perspective) in another thread.
Feast of booths and trumpets were commemorative of their dwelling in tents or 'booths' in the wilderness journey. The contrast of feast of tabernacles is that our bodies are now temples of the Holy Spirit. Of course the chilaist view has a different future fulfillment.
The feast of trumpets was not to commemorate Jericho, but to commemorate the use of trumpets to rise, pick up and pitch tents as they advanced through the wilderness journey. However this could have had a final experience culminating in Jericho signifying the obsolete use of the trumpets. Thus the fuflillment of the 7 trumpets of Revelation would need to be fulfilled by the destruction of Jerusalem.
One other thing I noted was that they were to 'afflict' themselves during the day of atonement. I think this was to commemorate the affliction that was dished out to the Egyptians and to forecast the affliction that Israel of the flesh would recieve during the desolation.
Just as the 10th plague is a new concept, I've had a new consideration for why Moses struck (or addressed;spoke to) the Rock. He was not 'reprimanded' for strickign the rock but for not giving God credit for bringing water from the Rock. Moses struck the rock twice, thus (I think) signifying that he favored the second covenant. God designed Glory in the first covenant also, but it's Glory was that which magnified the fulfillment of the covenant of mercy and the inferiority of the first: the mosaic land nation conditional covenant.
