Isaiah 27 speaks of the day when the serpent shall be slain and God will again keep His vineyard and water it (Eden restored). The Lord will then call those to take hold of His strength and He will make peace with them. Israel will bloom again and fill the world with her fruit, the iniquity of Jacob will be purged and the false idols trampled. God will show no mercy on their desolate city (Jerusalem), it shall be wiped away and left a wilderness. Then in that day when the trumpet is blown all the children of Israel and those who are outcasts in Assyrian and Egypt will be gathered together unto the Lord to worship Him in Holy Jerusalem.
The theme of Isaiah 27 sounds a lot like Daniel. The book of Daniel takes place during the time the Jews were in exile in Babylon as punishment from God for their disobedience and iniquity. Daniel is given prophecies and visions of a time when their punishment will end and they will be returned to their land and their Temple rebuilt. The last few chapters also speak of a time at the end of days when God will gather together all those who are found written in the Book. This is in keeping with the theme of Isaiah 27.
